Momma cat started hanging around my yard back in May 2006, then in July I found she had 4 kittens in the warehouse next to my house. Finally trapped them all and they’ve been in the house since, with multiple checkups, shots, spaying, etc. and no one’s ever attempted to return to the ‘great out doors’. Lately, I’ve seen all of them staring out the windows and wonder if I should risk releasing them or just allow them to keep wondering about the world beyond. None of them ever tries to rush the outside door when it’s open, but lately Momma has been acting VERY nasty to her kids. They’re about 11 months old , and they only need to go within 1 foot of her body and she’s rendering nasty growls to them. They never return them and usually just run for cover. I give Momma a stern name calling and she’ll just turn to me and render the sweetest meow. On occasion she’ll even run the kids off the bed if they attempt to join me OR her if she’s up there alone.
