I would prefer not spraying or using mothballs because of my child and pets. Wondering if anyone has any suggestions on how to trap these critters that love to hide in dark and damp spots. I just hate finding them when I turn on the lights!

Hamster is one of the most seek pets in the world. It makes a perfect pet because of its small size and cute nature.
And because it is a great pet, most people want to learn how to take care of it. Taking care of a hamster is not difficult once you know how. Here are the 5 tips that you must know…
1. Choose a suitable cage for your hamster. Get your hamsters a good house that is big enough for it, this is especially important if you are having more of these cute creatures. Try to avoid using a glass aquarium as it will tend to trap air inside it.
2. Use a sipper tube so that your hamsters can drink the water whenever they want to and you must make sure the water is clean and fresh by changing it everyday. If you are using a water bowl, make sure the water does not spill all over the place.
3. The best food for your hamsters are mixed fruit and vegetables. This will give them the daily nutrition they require. Remember; do not feed your hamsters with human junk food such as sweet and chocolate. Even with a small amount of this junk food, it will do more harm to your lovely pet because of their small size.
4. Play with your hamsters whenever you are free and when they are awake. Try to spend more time with them so that they will be tamer and use to the environment. If your hamsters tend to bite you, it is because they are not used to the environment and they are scared. Thus, approach them slowly and make them comfortable with your presence.
5. You do not have to bath your hamsters if you do not want to. This is because hamsters will clean themselves more than human beings. What you need to do is to ensure the cleanliness of the cage and make sure they have clean water and food all the time.
